Skilled Construction Labourer / Pipe Layer

*Charles Smith Construction Ltd.* is looking for an experienced *Skilled Labourer / Pipe Layer* to join our growing civil construction team.

We're looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in quality workmanship, and has experience installing underground utilities.

Responsibilities

* Assist with the installation of water, sewer, and storm pipe
* Grade trenches and prepare pipe bedding
* Set and align pipe using lasers and grade stakes
* Install manholes, catch basins, and related infrastructure
* Work safely around excavators and heavy equipment
* Assist with site layout, compaction, and backfilling
* Perform daily site clean-up and general labour duties
* Follow all company and site safety procedures

Qualifications

* Experience installing underground water, sewer, or storm systems is required
* Ability to work in trenches and around heavy equipment safely
* Knowledge of grades, elevations, and laser equipment is an asset
* Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
* Ability to work well as part of a team
* Valid driver's licence (Class 3 or Class 1 is an asset)
