General Labourer

Carter Brothers Ltd is seeking a dependable and hardworking General Labourer to join our team in the Moncton area. This role involves assisting skilled workers, maintaining safe and organized job sites, and performing a variety of physical tasks in outdoor environments.

*Duties*

* Assist cable linemen with tasks such as pulling lashers, lowering guy wires, and gathering materials
* Support pole setting crews by backfilling holes, tamping around poles, and preparing materials
* Assist tree workers with general duties as required
* Haul and clear brush, logs, and other debris from work sites
* Set up, distribute, and collect traffic control devices at job locations
* Help control the movement of vehicular traffic safely through and around work zones
* Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
* Operate basic hand tools and equipment as required
* Follow all safety procedures, policies, and site instructions
* Perform general site preparation and cleanup duties
* Assist with equipment setup, maintenance, and teardown
* Report any hazards, damages, or safety concerns to supervisors
* Perform other general labour tasks as assigned

*Qualifications:*

* Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions
* Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
* Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
* Basic knowledge of hand tools and safety practices is an asset

*Working Conditions:*

* Outdoor work in all weather conditions
* Physically demanding tasks including lifting, carrying, bending, and standing for extended periods
